Kari Laitinen

Vice President

Kari M. Laitinen is a Vice President at Plethora and focuses his efforts primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Laitinen has nearly thirty (30) years of experience with private equity, asset management, hedge funds, and investment banking – with a track record of originating complex financial transactions. Skilled at launching and capitalizing companies, he has created structured product(s) with international investment banks, acquired and sold businesses, recapitalized businesses, performed business valuations, and raised over one hundred million dollars for start-up funds. Mr. Laitinen is known for his creativity in successfully finding, selling, and creating new sources of revenue -often through grant writing – for companies.

As a dynamic lecturer, he has taught thousands of business professionals seeking financial security licensing and currently teaches business courses as an adjunct professor within a local MBA program. Accordingly, he is skilled at building dynamic financial models which investors, company executives, and business owners rely on to make intelligent and informed financial/strategic decisions.

Mr. Laitinen obtained his Executive Juris Doctorate degree from Concord Law School. He also has an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Pepperdine University, with a BA in History and Minor degree in Business Marketing from Brigham Young University. In addition, Mr. Laitinen is FINRA licensed with the Series 7, 24, 63, and 79.

Mr. Laitinen resides in Orange County, California with his wife of twenty-seven years and considers his greatest accomplishment his family. He has four children, three of whom are in college, and one teenage daughter in high school. He loves the outdoors including hiking, snow and water skiing, boating, and working in the yard. Mr. Laitinen is also active as a volunteer for his church focusing his efforts w/ the youth, and within the community has coached competitive soccer teams and other sports over the years.
